DIAMOND SHOW STOPPERS |
|
Kings, Southsea |
|
9 - 11, November 2017 |
Diamond Showstoppers. Both the Kings and the Society have celebrated milestones this year, with the Kings reaching a magnificent 110th birthday in September and South Downe Musical Society reaching their Diamond Jubilee.
It's a testament to every single member and supporter, past and present, that we continue to thrive and entertain the public just as Mrs Gillian Parkes envisaged back in 1957.
Over the last 60 years we have performed nearly 150 shows and played collectively to hundreds of thousands of people. We have also won prestigious industry awards , provided a platform for members to go on and forge professional careers within the industry and given local people the opportunity to develop their social skills, forge lifetime friendships, marriages and whole generations of SDMS families.
This show is filled with what can only be a selection of what we have performed over the last 60 years, and can only feature a small amount of the amazing talent we have seen pass through our doors. So as you enjoy the show, remember this is a culmination of a team effort, on stage and off and celebrates every member, past and present.
